Homemade pumpkin seed milk

When & How

The perfect mineral-packed milk to make oatmeal, pancakes, or crêpes. It works well with cereals, muesli or granola, too. But you can also use it as regular milk for all your lattes and cappuccinos.

Pumpkin seed milk is an excellent plant-based alternative if you tend always to use the same type of milk. Remember that variety in your diet is key to success! So don’t fall into food monotony and keep your metabolism active by introducing new foods all the time.

(about ½ L of milk )

  • 40g raw pumpkin seeds
  • 400g filtered water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 tbsp date syrup or raw honey or a few drops of monk fruit (optional, for the sweetened version)

  1. Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend for 1 minute.
  2. You can store in the fridge for up to 5 days.

The latest research has shown that pumpkin seeds are a must for skin and hair health as they promote hair growth and help fight against acne. Pumpkin seeds are also rich in magnesium, an essential mineral for hormonal health, and provide a good amount of vegetable proteins.
