Anti-acne

A menu studied to nourish the skin from the inside. Science has shown how the health of our skin is directly correlated to the health of our gut. All the meals are rich in nutrients that will nourish the gut microbiome at best for a healthy, glowy skin.  

Recommended Plant-Based Serum: Pumpkin seed oil – for the AM and/or PM routine. In the morning, apply it after your moisturizer and before sunscreen. At night, use it as the last step of your skincare routine. 

BREAKFAST

Brownie Batter Baked Oats

LUNCH

Summer Radish Salad

  • 5-6 small radishes, finely sliced
  • 1 cucumber, finely sliced
  • 1/3 red onion, finely sliced 
  • 6-7 fresh mint leaves, minced
  • 2 tsp raw pumpkin seeds 
  • ½ green apple cubes or 40g quinoa (both are sources of carbohydrates, pick one!)

Dressing: extra virgin olive oil, 1 tsp fresh lemon juice, 1-2 tsp apple cider vinegar, and a pinch of black pepper 

What to drink (one of the following): 

  • A cup of loose-leaf green tea, matcha or Americano/espresso, herbal tea, or chicory coffee 
  • A latte – matcha latte or cappuccino (preferred milk: unsweetened almond milk, hemp milk, pumpkin seed milk)

Suggested time: 15-20 minutes after breakfast

Choose one of the following protein foods:

  • 180-200g sockeye salmon – cooked in evo oil and chili flakes
  • 180-200g swordfish – cooked in evo oil and chili flakes 
  • 180g chicken breast – cooked in evo oil, lemon & chili flakes
  • 2 eggs – poached or sunny-side-up 
DINNER

Loaded Sweet Potato

  • 1 small sweet potato – using a fork, poke multiple holes into the potato and bake for 40-60 minutes at 375 F. Once ready, cut it in half lengthwise

Top with the following toppings:

  • Kale or spinach – sauteed in evo oil and garlic
  • 2-3 tbsp chickpeas – sauteed in evo oil and cumin powder
  • 2-3 tbsp Green Goddess Salad Dressing (recipe here) or ½ smashed avocado
